Veterinary Inspection

Veterinary inspection is conducted randomly by spot test. All cats must have vaccinations and certificates according to show rules; see Information on show cat vaccinations – Finnish Cat Association. The vaccination certificate must show the last vaccination date and the last valid date.
The last vaccination date for Saturday was 1st May, and for Sunday 2nd May.
All cats participating in the show must have a microchip.

Veterinary inspection and check‑in take place Sat & Sun 8.00–9.00. You must arrive no later than the final stated time. If a cat does not pass inspection, it must be removed from the show venue. (There is no suitable area for cats rejected by the vet.) Due to infection risk, cats living in the same household as a rejected cat may not participate in the show.

Check‑in

Check‑in takes place immediately inside the show hall.

Cat Information

Check your cat’s information in the confirmation letter and in the show catalogue on the show day. The catalogue is electronic, and a QR code will be available at the venue. If you pre‑ordered a printed catalogue, you can collect it from the rosette table by name.

If any information needs correction, notify the show secretary immediately by email at show(at)keskis.net or on the show day before judging begins.
The owner is responsible for ensuring the correct competition class and requesting any required counter‑signatures. Counter‑signatures must be requested from the judge during judging.

NOTE! You can find your cat’s competition number in Omakissa under the Shows page by clicking our show, or in the confirmation letter.

Cat Welfare and Cage Spaces

Cage spaces are not numbered. Your belongings must fit under the cage space provided, as walkways must remain clear for safety.

The association’s cage size is 65 × 65 × 56 cm. Your own cage must also fit within this space. The minimum size for a personal cage is 50 × 50 × 50 cm.

All cats must have access to a litter box and fresh water during the day. The welfare officer will conduct spot checks to ensure compliance. General hygiene instructions for cat shows can be found at General hygiene guidelines for cat shows – Finnish Cat Association.

Number tags and markers can be found near the info desk.

NOTE! Please bring your own litter. Litter is not provided at the show.

Judging, Nominations for the Best in Show and Panels

Judging begins at 9.30 on both days.

NOTE! In show 108 Keitele, the judging order is reversed. Follow the judging progress and inform an assistant if you encounter schedule conflicts.

Follow both shows’ judges throughout the day and bring your cat to judging on time to ensure smooth progress. Nominations for the Best in Show are made immediately after the quality judging. There is a break between nominations and the panel.

If your cat earns a title in the first judging, report it immediately to the secretary so the class change can be made quickly and your cat is placed in the correct class for the next show.

Announcements will indicate the exact start time and order of the panel.

The exhibitor must have the cat’s number visible whenever the cat is taken to judging, BIV and NOM selections, or the panel area.

The show ends around 16.00 on Saturday and 15.00 on Sunday.
Early departure permission is granted to cats not continuing to the panel and anounced seperately during the show. Follow announcements.
Leaving during the panel is not allowed.

Judging Slips

Judging slips can be collected near the secretary’s area.
At the rosette table, you can receive your rosette showing your cats judging slip.
Title rosettes can be exchanged for stamps.
All rosettes are free of charge.

KISU ry

Kisu ry works to help cats in need, find homes for homeless cats, and promote animal welfare. The association operates in regions of Pirkanmaa, Uusimaa, and Central Finland. Kisu ry has no facilities; cats live in volunteer foster homes until they are ready for adoption.

We will be present throughout the show weekend. Come say hello at our association table. You can support us by donating cat food, purchasing support products, or leaving a small donation. We are happy to tell you more about foster home activities.
Thank you for helping cats in need — the Kisu cats thank you!
